Infant Care Program (ICP)

Welcoming a new baby can bring so much joy — and also moments of worry or uncertainty. If feeding feels hard, or your baby seems tense or uncomfortable, please know you’re not alone. Our Infant Care Program was created to offer understanding, comfort, and gentle guidance for families who are navigating these early challenges. Each session is centered on warmth, connection, and helping your baby (and you) find ease again.

PROBLEMS & SYMPTOMS ADDRESSED:

Difficulty or pain with breastfeeding

Slow or inconsistent weight gain

Gassiness, colic, or reflux-like symptoms

Tension through the jaw or face

Open-mouth breathing or noisy sleep

METHOD:

BabyLase Therapy:

Our approach is gentle and non-invasive. The BabyLase light therapy helps remind the body of its natural rhythm — supporting comfort, coordination, and relaxation through the jaw and oral tissues. Parents often notice their baby feeding more easily, appearing calmer, and resting more deeply after care. The goal is never to “fix,” but to nurture the body’s ability to do what it already knows how to do.

Babies Who May Benefit From This Program

If your baby is struggling with feeding, breathing, fussiness, or asymmetry, these can be signs of oral restrictions and body tension. Our Infant Care Program identifies the root causes and provides gentle, evidence-informed care to support easier feeding, calmer sleep, and healthy development.

Comprehensive Before & After Treatment Care

Supporting Your Baby's Journey to Optimal Feeding & Development

Our Infant Care Program provides thorough pre-treatment assessment and comprehensive post-procedure support to ensure the best outcomes for your baby. We work collaboratively with physiotherapists, lactation consultants, chiropractors, and physicians to address tethered oral tissues and support the mom-baby dyad.

Before Treatment

INFANTS + BABIES
Parents complete a detailed history of the baby's health and feeding. We favor diagnosis involving other baby care providers such as physiotherapists, lactation consultants, chiropractors and physicians. Treatment of tethered oral tissues in our care will occur only with commitment to pre-and post-release care with these providers.
Pre-treatment assessment

Immediate Post-Treatment Care

INFANTS + BABIES
Breastfeeding or bottle feeding is encouraged immediately following the procedure. Active wound management and daily stretching exercises will be shown and practiced following the release, so parents are ready for this at home. We recommend you video the stretches to review later.
Post-treatment care

Ongoing Follow-Up & Support

INFANTS + BABIES
Bodywork and continued lactation support following the frenectomy procedure is essential for success. We see mom and baby again for one-week and two-week post-treatment follow-ups. Exercises should be performed for 6 months following treatment, as the benefits of BabyLase continue to build over that time.
Follow-up appointments

Comprehensive Care Modalities

INFANTS + BABIES
Our program includes tethered oral tissue release, non-surgical laser treatments, follow-up neonatal oral care, myofunctional therapy, ALF appliances, craniosacral therapy, and Myobrace/Myomunchee appliances. We coordinate appointments with collaborative healthcare providers for complete care.
